Laser Box The best way to improve math skills is to do math.  Playing games that exercise reasoning abilities is a good approach for young people, since many games involve logic, and math is just logic with numbers attached.                                                                ---Marilyn Vos Savant Besides that, these games are Fun!                     ---MathPup MathPup used to love to play Minesweeper until he came across this game.  Now he is playing Laser Box all the time.  He can pretty much win every time playing on the 8 by 8 field.  MathPup doesn’t think he is ready to move up to a 12 by 12 field yet.  He is afraid it might be too “ruff” for him.
Mad Numbers Gravity Master Cargo Bridge MathPup loves to draw and play games.  This game is perfect for him as the only way to play this game is to draw your way through the levels.  Easy to pick up and quick play but very addicting.  Lot’s of logic required to figure out how to accomplish each level’s goal. The biggest thing MathPup ever built was a doghouse.  Up until now.  He’s having fun, but wishes the elephant and heavy safes would stop breaking his bridges!  Takes a while to get going on this one but once you do, you’ll be like MathPup and play Cargo Bridge all the time.
This game is tricky but fun says Mathpup.  Mathpup plays against friends when they are over.  Otherwise he’ll play against the computer.  Always fun to play when you only have a few minutes.  Oh yeah, playing against the computer is tough!
Monkey Trouble 2 Bejeweled!!!???  Yes, but Bejeweled doesn’t have any monkeys in it!  That’s why Mathpup loves this Bejeweled-like game so much.  Well, Bejeweled with a twist that is.  And I don’t just mean the monkeys. Airport Madness 2 This game is like “Air Traffic Chaos” for the Nintendo DS but much cheaper (Free!).  This is one of our favorite games here at Mathnook even though the night scenario scares Mathpup a bit. Electric Box Use pure logic to set up your system to supply power from the power source to the target.  Some great puzzlers in this one. The Idiot Test 6 This is one funny test!  Challenging too.  Mathpup and I compete to see who is the lesser idiot.  Bridgecraft Help the Euwins by building bridges for them to cross.  Don’t let them down if you know what I mean.  Another fun bridge building game.  Splitter 2 A fun physics based game where you have to cut up wood to get the ball to its destination.  Easy to pick up but hard to quit.    Incredibots 2 Lots to do and lots of objects in this amazing physics game.  Build what you need to finish the level.  It may be anything from a bulldozer to a catapult.  Not too difficult to learn if you go through the tutorials.    Math Worksheets available in the Worksheets section Cool and educational videos in the Videos section Max Damage This kid can do more damage to a house than MathPup!
